The Heterologous procedure can be performed:
- When one or both of the components of the couple lack oocytes and/or sperm and/or they are of such poor quality as to render unlikely the formation of an embryo.
- When one or both of the components of the couple are carriers of genetic anomalies.
- When the couple’s procreation history contains unexplained failures.
